Jim’s Ultra 4 Hoplite

Those that know me, know that I like to take on hard physical challenges. This year, I’m taking on one of the toughest challenges of my life: a 100km ultra marathon through the rugged mountains of Albania for the Hoplite Charity.

Covering extreme terrain, steep climbs, and long hours on my feet, this race will test me physically, mentally and likely put me in the hurt locker. But the challenge is about far more than crossing a finish line.
My goal is to raise as much as possible to assist serving and former personnel of the Regiment, and their dependents.

The Hoplite Fund is focused on providing support, facilities, and activities to enhance the health, wellbeing and welfare needs of our people, ensuring they remain effective in meeting one of the most challenging set of missions and tasks across defence.
