Jo Towler is raising money for The Choir with No Name
In March this year, I am trekking the last 100km of the beautiful Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago, starting in Vigo, all to raise vital funds for The Choir with No Name.
The Choir with No Name runs seven choirs around the UK, building joyful singing communities with people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation. The choirs each meet once a week for a cuppa and a catch up, after which members sing their hearts out for an hour and a half, and then sit down together for a hot meal cooked by volunteers. The choirs are a supportive, safe space for people to be among friends, where they can experience the joy of singing together, have fun, build confidence and skills, and feel more able to tackle life's other challenges, such as securing housing or finding work.
I have been to many of their concerts, and they are some of the most joyful, uplifting events I have ever attended. The stories that members tell of how much singing and Choir With No Name is important to them, and how it has helped during difficult times, means that I am happy to don my walking boots, take a week off work and schlep for 100km, and do my bit to make a lasting difference to lives affected by homelessness.
Please donate to me/The Choir With No Name and make me (and my wife) happy, as well as supporting this amazing charity.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto The Choir with No Name.

Last day of the walk. 23km to go until we reach Santiago. Weary legs, compeed on feet, but we'll get there!
Another training walk, this time 8 miles around Rotherham and Roche Abbey. Lovely, but Very Muddy! Shoes still good, and legs felt okay, so hopefully all will be well for the Camino...
Practising for the Big One with the 15-mile Sheffield Round Walk. Hoping the Camino hills are less steep than those in Sheffers! Good training - have now bought insoles - and more to come.
