My story
Hi,
The half marathon started off really as a challenge for myself until someone (naming no names Janice) said they would sponsor me. So I have chosen the Brain Research Trust which carries out research into more than 250 brain disorders such as Alzheimers, motor neurone disease, muscular sclerosis and epilepsy to name a few. They receive no government funding and rely solely on donations.
The reason for choosing this charity is that a family friend (David McClurg) died of motor neurone disease some years ago and I always felt I would like to do something. Also because of friends who have relatives with neurological conditions or they are affected themselves. Thanks for your interest and support.
