Joan's MISSION50 - in memory of my wonderful mum

Janine Dorling is raising money for Islington Boat Club
My story
When I told mum that we were planning a MISSION50 fundraising campaign for Islington Boat Club she immediately offered to knit 50 squares to help raise funds. She'd done similar things for the club before, despite being 92 years of age!
Sadly mum passed away in April, before she could get started on her challenge, so I would like to take on the task in her memory - I don't knit very well though so will have to crochet 50 squares! I'm giving myself a few weeks to complete my challenge, so please send encouraging messages and support me.
If you can donate, however small an amount, it would be amazing, if you can also share the link with family and friends and ask them to also support this wonderful club that would be fabulous!

IBC are a fantastic resource for all ages and for the whole community; they have been offering activities to local kids for over 50 years (MISSION50!!) and I really want them to be around for AT LEAST another 50 years and so am doing my/mums challenge to help their future.

Well, the challenge has been completed, the last three biscuit colour/glittery squares have been added to the basket.
All that remains is to thank my very generous supporters; hope for some stragglers to jump in and randomly donate; go support others ambassadors and join all the squares together!!

Oh my goodness!!! My target has been met and smashed!!!
Thank you to so many generous funders.
I will now finish off the last few squares and just to show I'm willing to go that extra "mile" I'll join them all together as a blanket - there's no stopping me now!

Finding this a bit of a task actually!! However, am ploughing on and now have 37 squares completed!!!
