John Knowles is raising money for The International Buddhist Relief Organisation (IBRO)
My story
IBRO has in the past year sent money to the China earthquake relief (via Red Cross), The Mynamar cyclone relief (through our association with Burmese monks), Cyclone relief in Bangladesh, the earthquake relief in Pakistan. We have two ongoing projects. The first is a Childrens Nursery in Weligama, Sri Lanka. The nursery was rebuilt at our expense after the Tsunami and has been supported by us financially ever since then. The second is a community clinic in Chipata, Zambia. We are sending financial help regularly to pay the doctor's salary and pay for medicines.
We have also run a health an fitness here in inner city, Birmingham which was funded by the National Lottery.
Most recent we have supported the work of UNICEF in its relief effort in Haiti.
I am appealing for £25,000 over the next two years so that we can expand our work. Please help us with your donation.
