Jovie 💕

Hi I’m Ashleigh Jovie’s mam, I just thought I’d put a little bit in here about why we’ve chosen to donate to tiny lives 💕 I know lots of people like to buy gifts when children are christened, but Jovie has lots of stuff (probably more than she needs tbh 🤦🏼‍♀️😂) so we thought the best thing to do would be to donate to this wonderful charity! 
As you all know Jovie arrived early I was only 31 and 5 days pregnant, it was an extremely scary time for not only me and David but for Jovie’s sisters Arahna and Laina-May and our families. Jovie was born early due to my waters breaking at 29weeks and developing an infection in my womb waters and placenta, I was in horrific pain so the consultant decided the best thing to do to keep Jovie and I safe was to deliver her by C-section within 4hrs. Jovie was born on the 4/12/25 at 4:30pm at the RVI we got a quick peek and she was whisked off with lots of baby drs all fussing round her, she struggled to breathe so needed to have CPAP it was the longest time of my life eventually we were aloud to hold her for about 3/4mins and she was took to the NICU Jovie had lots of tests and was treated for sepsis, given antibiotics through the cord in her belly button, she was still struggling on the CPAP so she was then intubated, David went with Jovie while I was in recovery and gave her her first tiny little taste of milk, she spent 4 days in the ICU before being moved to High Dependency she spent 15 days at the RVI all together before being transported by ambulance to the SCBU at Nsech. While we were in the NICU for them 15 days we were hugely supported by tiny lives, we got parent packs, the girls got sibling packs, we had people coming in to support parents, coffee mornings and were even offered to speak with a psychologist they were absolutely amazing! So if anyone could donate even just 1p we’d hugely appreciate it 💕 thank you so much 💕
