My story
On Friday, I’ll be jumping out of a plane to remember my brother JJ, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2008 – just two days after his 20th birthday.
JJ was a kind, wild, funny and brave person who touched so many lives, and losing him left a huge void in our family and community. To keep his memory alive and turn our grief into something positive, we set up JJ’s Memorial Fund.
This skydive feels like the perfect way to celebrate JJ’s spirit – taking on a challenge that requires courage, just as he showed every day. Every penny raised will go towards supporting injured paratroopers and grieving military families.
I’d be so grateful for any donation, no matter how small, to help us make a difference in JJ’s name. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting our cause.
