My story

My first (and probably last - never say never!) Marathon

I was one of the 'lucky' ones that got a ballot place in the London Marathon this year. Having entered the ballot quite a few times previously I never thought I would get a place and always said fate would decide if I ever did a marathon, and this year it did!
In a way fate has a good head on their shoulders, as I have had more time that I usually would to be able to run more and nap more, in equal measures! And it has given me something to focus on before Giles and I take on our next challenge together.

I'm so incredibly lucky having such amazing, generous and crazy people around me willing to join me on my long training runs, I literally couldn't have got this far without them!!! You know who you are!
I'm also very lucky to be part of Finch Coasters, an incredible running club full of wisdom, motivation and inspiration.
And a husband who has supported me and been very generous in encouraging me to sit around and eat chips after very long runs :)

As I got a ballot place I have no pressure to hit a certain fundraising target, it also meant I could raise money for more than one charity which is great!! So for anyone that wants to sponsor me and give me a boost as I feel my legs fall off at mile 22 I'd be very grateful indeed!

Wish me luck xxx
