Kathy's Wing Walk

Kathy Powis, Chair of the Friends of the Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington, is taking on a challenge with a difference this autumn - wing walking on a Stearman bi-plane flying at 130mph over the Leicestershire countryside! The impressive feat, which will take place at Leicester Airport on Sunday 9 October 2016, will raise funds for the Framework Knitters Museum, where Kathy has volunteered for the last 18 years.

Says Kathy: 'This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for people to sponsor me for doing a wing walk as trust me, I won't be doing it again! I hope lots of people will support me by making a pledge or donation to this very worthy cause.'
