Our story

This September, Sir Kevin Sinfield and the 7 in 7 team will once again hit the road to raise money and awareness for those impacted by Motor Neurone Disease. With funds split across charities who work with those affected by MND across the UK and Republic of Ireland, this will be the seventh and final annual fundraising challenge for Sinfield and the team.

Starting on Sunday 27th September in Hull, the team will run an ultra-marathon every day for seven days, visiting all 12 English Super League grounds on the way to the finish line at Old Trafford ahead of the Betfred Super League Grand Final. As with recent challenges, each day will be split into 7km blocks that Sinfield must complete within the hour before starting the next leg with an additional extra mile for members of the MND community to join Sinfield to complete their own extra mile.

Our updates

There are now just 50 days to go until the start of our seventh and final challenge for MND charities – 7 in 7: The Grand Finale.

This year, we'll be heading back home to where it all began – the rugby league heartland, a place which means so much to all of us.

Starting in Hull on 27 September, we’ll visit all 12 English Super League grounds, including Headingley – home of the Leeds Rhinos – a place which has become synonymous with our friend and the driving force behind this challenge, Rob Burrow CBE. The challenge ends in Manchester on 3 October at the Super League Grand Final.

In every village, town and city in between we’ll be meeting members of the MND community, a community which has been at the very heart of these challenges for the past seven years.

Every hill, every brutal mile will raise awareness of MND and ensure everyone affected by this terrible disease knows they are loved and supported. Every pound raised will help the fight against MND by funding more research and support for those who need it right now.

It’s hard to sum up in just a few words how much your support has meant to us over the past seven years and we hope you will join us once more as we prepare to go again – one last time.

See you in September!
Kevin
