Kidz Against Crime

In April 2003 we piloted our first out of school workshop called Kidz Against Crime. This activity was supported by the neighbourhood policing team for Ladywood and local businesses. The project proved to be a success and to date we have completed twenty-four projects called "Kids Against Crime". It is aimed to provide a range of activities for children consisting of workshops spread out over the February, Easter, summer and October holidays. (Eventually extending to after school activities). The workshops consist of educational and stimulating interests.
The project seeks to develop talent and social skills by providing a series of drama, music, literacy, arts, team building, behaviour management and challenging workshops. In the summer of 2007 we catered for approximately 185 children between four locations. We are now looking for funding to continue with our work within the community.
