Kim's skydive for Heart Heroes

Heart Heroes support children aged 0-16 with heart diseases and their families, helping them meet others who are in similar situations and going through related experiences. They organise events and provide socialising opportunities for the children to attend, and introduce families with similar experiences so that they can support each other. They have various Hubs across the South West and Wales, and aim to expand, and open more throughout the UK

• * Heart defects are diagnosed in at least 1 in 150 births, with more diagnoses later in life.

• * Heart defects are the most common congenital anomaly in babies born in the UK.

I was introduced to this charity whilst at a coffee morning locally. It was so lovely to meet the founder, Kelly, who runs Heart Heroes full time on a voluntary basis.
A skydive has been on my bucket list for some time, and so this event sort of opened up the doors for me to be able to do it, knowing that I'll be helping support such a wonderful charity at the same time.

*I plan to blast off on 22nd April 2023, weather permitting.

If you are reading this, I hope that you are already thinking of donating, and for that I am so grateful. Please dig deep, and help me raise as much as I can for this great organisation. I'm sure there are some of you who would happily pay to see me get launched from a plane (because let's be fair, that's what it will be, I doubt I'll have the gall to actively jump). Having said that, any amount - no matter how small - will help, and raising awareness is invaluable in itself.
