KimHau is raising money for Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (UK)
Event date: 21st April 2013
Hi there
You may all know that I have, in the past few years, completed two marathons, one in Paris and one in Berlin. However, in 2013, I will FINALLY be able to run in my home country!
This will be a special one for me, one - because most of you will hopefully be hanging around to support me that day :D, two - because I am aiming for a better time than 3hrs 43mins, and three - because I am running for my little sister, Vanessa (AKA BOB!).
Vanessa is now 16 years old and she was born with a rare genetic disorder called "Prader Willi Syndrome". PWS affects children in their learning, hormonal development and behaviour. It also means, most crucially, that she has an uncontrollable obsession with food. You are probably thinking that its ok, because all Chinese people seem to be obsessed with food (!) - but in all seriousness, this is in fact a major hazard to Bob's health and means she will never be able to live independently.
I am raising money for this great organisation called PWSA that provides support and education for families that are affected by PWS. I am hoping that you will be able to show some support by donating as much or as little as you can to this cause.
THANK YOU to everyone in advance and I hope that maybe I will see on my way round the London Marathon circuit on the big day xxxxxxxxxx
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (UK).
