Kirsty is raising money for Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
On 13th October 2024 I will be taking part in the in the Great Eastern Half Marathon in aid of Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.
As an independent charity relying on funds to continue their valuable services, any donations are gratefully received. I work for the Information & Advice service who in 2022/23 supported over 900 individuals to claim £1,642,000 in Welfare Benefits; an increase of 23% on the previous year. Collectively as an organisation 15,937 service users were supported - 80% of these aged 75+
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Thank you once again

Well, I did it!
Myself and my 2 colleagues Leila and Sarah all finished yesterday’s half marathon.
Despite an injury which cropped up a week before, I kept off my leg and it held up - just!
Never felt so depleted and in bits after a physical challenge since my days playing rugby at university!
Thank you so much to all my supporters - I’ve raised £840 to date 🤗🙏😃which is more than I imagined possible when I signed up to this challenge back in June. So grateful to you all X
Yesterday’s long run….
It was a lovely day for it…
This was delayed by a week due to Covid but I was feeling good so off I went in the direction of Ufford then Ashton and back to Barnack.
12km done 🥳 My toenail may have been a casualty as is both loose and now grey in colour, oh well! Excited for 13th now!
Well things were going to plan until I tested positive for Covid on Saturday evening. Thankfully I’m not too badly affected and got out for a run this afternoon. Thanks so much to all my sponsors, I’m up to £345 now!!
As of Sunday I am up to 10.5km on my long run. The watch died but Inoushed on til I’d surpassed previous 10ks of 2016/17.
This week I’ve two interval runs and then the long run at the weekend, I’m aiming for 14km.
Just 3 weeks to go now!!
Thank you as ever to all of my sponsors and supporters xx Kirsty
