Our story
The Lavin family are back again! 🚴♂️🇮🇪🍀 Brett, Sharon, Aidan, and Kivah are cycling over 600 miles along the stunning West coast of Ireland, from Mizen Head all the way to Malin Head with the Birmingham Irish Cycle Appeal.
Here’s what lies ahead:
We kick off from Mizen Head to Bantry, before pushing on to Tralee via the Ring of Kerry and the stunning Gap of Dunloe ⛰️. From there, we ride through the Burren to Ballyvaughan, then on to Westport via Maam Cross and Tourmakeady, where we’ll enjoy a well-earned rest day 🙌. The final stretch sees us head from Westport to Bundoran, on to Buncrana, and then take on Mamore Gap for the last push to Malin Head 💪
We’re proud to be cycling in support of some incredible causes ❤️
• Maeve Fanning, bravely fighting a rare stage 4 cancer and undergoing life-extending treatment
• Reynalds Cross School, fundraising to upgrade their sensory room for children with special educational needs
• Birmingham Children’s Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Unit, supporting vital care, equipment, and research
• UHCW, creating safe and calming spaces for teenagers in mental health crisis
• Enterprise Sailing, helping young people build confidence and life skills through sailing
Every mile is for them, and any support or donation would mean the world to us 🙌
Follow our journey as we take on the Wild Atlantic Way—one pedal at a time 🚴♀️🌊
