Leila's Urban Synergy Santa In The City 5K Run

I have challenged myself to do a 5km Charity fund run in Battersea Park on Saturday, 12th August 2023, to raise money for Urban Synergy. This summer, they are running programmes for young people in the summer holidays to give them exposure to as many firms as possible. They support the young people with lunch and travel costs to ensure everyone can afford to show up and not be embarrassed financially if, due to the cost of living or their family income, they cannot afford to travel or buy lunch for the day.

Every £100 raised will support a young person to visit a London firm for one week this year.

Urban Synergy, founded in 2007, helps to bridge the gap for young people in communities, who can see the city from their window, but don't know how to get there.

Young people, particularly those from Black and ethnic minority communities, need support to transition into the workplace. Urban Synergy are working to build an equitable world for all young people. Working together, everyone benefits
