Let There Be 50lar Light (and Wellington Boots)

In 2016 Roz will celebrate her 50th Birthday and you are invited to mark this landmark occasion by making a donation to Uganda Concern UK's Solar Lighting Project, in support of Uganda Women Concern Ministry.

Energy poverty is a major obstacle to development and accelerates marginalization. Those with reliable lighting are increasingly separated from those who lack it.

"It has taken away the shame from my family. We used to be called poor but this has raised our status. There is no longer any shame because we now have light and other people ask us how they can get solar installed."

Any funds raised that are not used to provide Solar Lighting will go towards buying Wellington Boots for the Community Mobilisation Teams who support communities in the very hilly Mount Elgon region where getting around during the raining season is very difficult and so good footwear is very important.
