Everest Base Camp Trek

I have funded myself to undertake a 21 day trip to Nepal to follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary to trek the Himalaya to the base camp of Everest, the world's highest mountain. This is an extreme challenge, climbing to an altitude of 17,500 feet. The terrain is rocky with steep ascents via mountain tracks, with temperatures ranging from 20 C to - 10 C at night. Trekking time will vary from 3 - 9 hours per day and will pass through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. I am aiming to raise as much money as possible to support my chosen charity, CTAS, who work to help improve the lives of people disadvantaged by poverty and hardship, in countries such as Nepal.
