Linden is “Running like L” for DEBRA! (5 x 10k races in 2024)

What am I doing? 
This year I am “Running like L” with Tay Fitness Events tayfitness.com/events/run-like-l-10k-series/ - this is a series of five 10k races over March - August - I am asking you to sponsor me to run all five of these.

Why do I want you to donate?
As many of you will be aware my family are affected by EB Simplex, a dominant inherited skin condition which has a serious impact upon quality of life and causes pain taking part in every day activities that many of us take for granted. EB Simplex causes painful blisters, particularly on the feet, making walking difficult or sometimes impossible. It is very much a hidden disability and others often don’t perceive how much pain it can cause.
DEBRA’s work covers all forms of EB (Simplex, Junctional, and Dystrophic) some of which cause severe symptoms affecting  the whole body and are sadly life limiting.

DEBRA nurses have been there for my family to support throughout my son’s life with advice and support for dressings and wound care, and in advocating for adaptations and support. DEBRA also fund research into treatments for EB including gene therapy and pain management. I’m keen to give something back and I’d be very grateful if you would consider donating a little to this cause.
