Matilda M is raising money for Onslow Infant School PTA
Onslow Infant School is fundraising to improve their woodland and playground as we move into spring!
Our children are finding creative ways to step up to the challenge, and asking for your sponsorship to support their initiative!
7 year old Matilda is springing into action to help make Onslow Village a tidier place to live and raise money for her school. Over four weeks she is aiming to litterpick more than 4 bags of rubbish (525 pieces of litter plus) from our local streets, playground, rec and arboretum.
She’ll also continue the good fight while we are on holiday in Australia, collecting a bucketful of rubbish for every beach we visit.
We’re asking for your support in getting out and picking up some of the grimmest things you can imagine (I’ll be stepping in there 🫣).
Any and all donations are appreciated!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Onslow Infant School PTA.
Back to it on the school run!
Found as many shark eggs on the sand as we did litter - South Coast NSW beaches are unbelievably clean (except for all that red weed from recent storms on the white sand!)
Bondi, Coogee, Gordon’s Bay, Nielsen Park - you are so much cleaner since we visited! #leavetheworldabetterplace
Even on holiday, she can’t ignore the litter! This morning’s beach finds included tissues, ring pulls, a vape, paddle pop sticks, a coconut and pants amongst other plastic bits that are all so bad for sea life.
Today we collected 130 pieces of litter around the Onslow Rec and car park, lots of plastic - which can take as long as 500 years to decompose. Too many suspect items to name, not the world we want to live in 😢
