Little Nancy Needs Your Help

Cheadle Animal Welfare is raising money for Cheadle and District Animal Welfare Society

My story

Nancy is a 10 month old black kitten who was brought into the care of Cheadle Animal Welfare Society along with her 6 brothers and sisters ,when she was just 6 weeks old. Sadly Nancy had badly injured one of her back legs when she fell from her Mum’s mouth while her Mum was climbing up a tree to escape from an unneutered Tom, who was chasing her.
A visit to Lime Trees Vets was arranged where it was found that Nancy had a dislocated knee and possible deformity of the lower bones in her leg. Surgery was the only answer, but this has had to be deferred until Nancy was older.
In the meantime Nancy has found a new home with her 2 sisters, Dolly and Dora and has enjoyed playing and zooming around, even with the injury to her leg. Climbing is difficult for her and she does have a constant limp, but she is a very happy little cat and has lots of fun with her sisters.
On Monday 20th February Nancy is booked in at Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital, Meir Park for Orthopaedic Surgeons Ben and Tomas , to try to repair the damage. This will be very complex surgery but as Nancy is only 10 months old it is felt that she should be given the chance to lead a happy life without pain and disability..
This procedure will be very expensive so an appeal is being made for help to fund Nancy’s surgery. If you would like to make a donation, no matter how small.
Please help if you can. Little Nancy deserves the very best we can give her.
