Next Sunday I'll be running my first-ever marathon in Brighton, where I spent three years studying International Development at Sussex University (so it holds a special place in my heart!).

I've just joined CSW working in the Communications team, and I figured they would be the perfect fit as my chosen charity. CSW works in over twenty countries worldwide as a human rights organisation campaigning and advocating for the freedom of any and all religious beliefs.

75% of the world's population lives in a country that has severe restrictions on the right of freedom of religion and belief - an astounding statistic. What's not commonly known is that this is actually one of the most widely violated human rights, and it gives rise to the many other human rights abuses that are so often missed in the gaze of the world's media. CSW exists to change this. It seeks to challenge and change the laws, behaviours and policies which lead to abuses of the right to freedom of religion and belief on a local and international platform.
