My story
This year I am Lady Captain at Antrobus Golf Club. Part of being Lady Captain is doing events to raise money for the chosen charity of the year.
This year we decided to raise money for 1Voice as I have seen first hand how the work they do changes the lives of young people and their families. 1voice.info/home
A couple of years ago I raised some money for charity by shaving my head. People said I was brave, but it wasn't, I felt like it was a bit of an easy option for fundraising. So this time, to raise money for 1Voice, I believe I do need to do something that I would consider to be "brave".
So, I have decided to go Wing Walking. On 19th August I am going to Lincoln airfield where I will be strapped onto the top of a small aircraft, which will fly between 100ft and 700ft and speeds between 80 mph and 100mph for around 15 minutes flight time. I am doing it with the Wing Walk Company thewingwalkcompany.com/
At the very thought of it I am seesawing between periods of great excitement, and sheer terror.
