Our story

It's that time of year again where a few intrepid members of our team at Lincolnshire Lowland Search & Rescue (and a guest rider or two) will take part in the Lincs  C2C2C cycle ride, and endeavour to complete a 100 mile circuit over the Lincolnshire Wolds to raise vital funds for Lincolnshire Lowland Search and Rescue to help with the incredible work they do throughout the greater Lincolnshire area.
As volunteers with the team, we have seen first hand what an impact this work can have on the community that we serve. If you can afford even the smallest amount, any donation/sponsorship will be greatly appreciated, and every donation, no matter how small will be put to good use.

What Do We Do?
Lincolnshire Lowland Search & Rescue are a non-profit organisation, relying entirely on our own fundraising. We receive no government funding or subsidies and are a registered charity. All of our members are unpaid volunteers who provide their services free of charge.

LLSAR exists to search for vulnerable missing persons and to assist the emergency services in the event of a medical incident, a casualty search or natural disaster. We conduct searches in both urban and rural areas, in association with Lincolnshire and Humberside Police. The team have been deployed over 50 times since January 2024, throughout Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, and have also been called out to assist neighbouring teams in Notts and Yorkshire. Search areas have ranged from the Humber in the North of the county, down to Sutton Bridge and Stamford in the South, and from the East Coast to the River Trent. Lowland Rescue has 35 teams nationwide, which provide an average of 800 operations a year and has over 1800 professionally qualified volunteers.

Who is a vulnerable missing person?

A vulnerable missing person includes the following:-

- a person living with dementia
- a missing child
- a despondent / suicidal person
- a person living with autism
- a person with mental health issues
