London Landmark Half Marathon Run for Debra

I have a skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), this means I have experienced blistering on hands, knees, elbows and ankles. But I have never let this stop me in participating in any sport like football or hockey, but I always had to be prepared with bandages and dressings. I'm lucky for many this condition affects every aspect of their life.

DEBRA is a UK national medical research charity and patient support organisation for people living with the rare, extremely painful, genetic skin blistering condition, epidermolysis bullosa (EB) also known as ‘butterfly skin’, see debra.org.uk for more information on this fantastic charity.

While there is still not a cure for EB the advancement in treatment and advice over my lifetime has been impressive. The different types of dressing and bandages that support healing but not causing more damage to my skin is fantastic, but this is only possible with investment into research.

That is why I'm runnning the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the Sunday 6th April this year for Debra. This is to raise funds for continued research into treatment and prevention and the Debra nurses who help families with advice and guidance of which both are is essential. So please support me to reach my target of £400, with whatever you can afford to spare.
