London Marathon 2026: 26.2 Miles for two amazing, incredible and beautiful boys!

In less than three weeks, I’ll be lining up for the London Marathon 2026. While 26.2 miles is a daunting distance, the "why" behind my run is much bigger than the race itself. I am jogging for two young boys who mean the world to me—two little warriors who redefine the word "brave" every single day.

A lesson in resilience and bravery
Just over nine years ago, my beautiful and precious nephew entered our lives and changed them forever. He has taught us the true meaning of joy and resilience. Navigating life with complex needs, he has faced more hurdles in his childhood than most do in a lifetime. Yet, he is so courageous and a true fighter in every sense of the word—resilient, strong, and consistently inspiring. I am raising money for the Acorns Children's Hospice, which have provided care that supports him. They are a lifeline, providing a sanctuary and specialised care that ensures he can thrive despite the challenges he faces.
 
A Lesson in Courage
Eighteen months ago, my best friend’s wonderful son was born with a rare and debilitating skin condition. He is currently still in the hospital in Manchester, and watching him fight through such an incredibly tough start to life is a reminder of what real strength looks like. He has been so resilient and strong throughout this journey. To support him and others living with the skin condition, I am raising funds for DEBRA UK, which provides life-changing specialist care, supplies, respite and mental health support while funding pioneering research to find a cure for this "butterfly skin" condition.
 
Why Your Support Matters I adore these two boys with all my heart, but my goal is also to support the impact these charities have on lives all over the UK. They provide the expertise, the relief, and the hope that families need when navigating the most difficult paths.
I’m taking on this challenge and these miles to ensure organisations such as these can continue to be there for every child who needs them. Whether it is the price of a coffee or a larger donation, every single penny goes directly to supporting the care and dignity of some of the bravest children in the country.
