Kate is raising money for GORLIN SYNDROME GROUP
Loz's London Marathon 2011
Event date: 17th April 2011
My story
In April, Lorraine 'Loz' Spiller will be running, and hopefully completing, the 2011 London marathon. Lorraine has decided to take this opportunity to raise funds for Gorlin syndrome. Gorlin syndrome is a little known condition which, put simply, is an incurable cancer that affects the skin and facial bones. It only affects 1 in 55,600 people and is therefore very rare and not a cause which immediately springs to mind when raising funds.
So why Gorlin Syndrome?
Despite the rare nature of this severe and damaging condition, TWO people very close to Zenshin dojo unfortunately are affected. Consequently, we cannot think of a greater reason to raise money for this most worthy cause.
