The Noonkodin Secondary School provides free education to local Maasai communities near Arusha in Tanzania, enabling Maasai children to gain the qualifications they need to secure future employment and help lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

Unique in Tanzania, the school also ensures that its pupils maintain their cultural heritage by including Maasai culture as an essential part of their education.

On this page you can donate to Serian UK - the NGO organising fundraising efforts for Noonkodin school.

Our fundraising goal for direct donations through this page is £4000, which will be spent on material and labour costs to build a dormitory at the Nonkodin for girls who have fled their families to avoid the harmful traditional practice of Female Genital Mutilation. This new dormitory will enable the school, already a safe haven for these young girls, to provide accommodation for those most in need.

You can also support Noonkoding school by purchasing art through Ethical Art (ethical-art.com). Every painting sold enables one Maasai child to attend school for 6 months.
