My story
The sponsored dog walk is back! The Barn Owl Trust has run sponsored dog events since 2001 and this will be the 13th! This year Poppy the Springer Spaniel & Maizie the Golden Working Cocker are hoping to pass Whisky the West Highland Terrier's total of £1,380 raised in 2011. Maizie will be walking with her owners, the founders of the Barn Owl Trust, David & Frances Ramsden.They will be walking with Poppy and her owners for at least 5 miles one day on the weekend of 11th October 2014 and rumour has it the owners may even be in fancy dress!
Please do help them raise funds for The Barn Owl Trust at this crucial time when Barn Owl numbers are low and 2013 was described as "The worst Barn Owl breeding season for over thirty years" by conservationists throughout the UK and beyond. Britain's most popular farmland bird and icon of the countryside is now in very serious trouble.
