Manchester Marathon 2026

We lost our lovely dog, Burt, very recently, he was 15 years old. He had a wonderful life and we loved him dearly. Burt was very much part of our family and we were as fortunate to have Burt in our lives as he was to have us ❤️ We reassure ourselves since Burt’s passing, knowing he was loved…something a lot of dogs and animals will never experience.
All animals should have the life and love Burt did so I’ve decided to help other dogs and animals that sadly aren’t as lucky as our old boy was.

I secured a place in the Manchester marathon 2026 a while ago now, truth be told I was meant to run in 2025 but deferred the place. I’m not a natural long distance runner so it sort of filled me with dread! I seem to remember saying I would never run a half marathon again however here I am…I’m training hard and now ready for the challenge!

I came across this charity a while ago and I made the mistake of looking at many of the heartbreaking stories on Facebook etc.
War Paws Ltd do amazing work, they care for animals in countries with conflict, often forgotten about but sadly many subjected to unimaginable cruelty.

So…I’ll be running on the 19th April 2026 😍🐾

All proceeds raised will be going to War Paws Ltd.
Any donations, however small, would be greatly appreciated.
