Mark Maguire is raising money for Phoenix Heroes CIC
My story
Phoenix Heroes have saved my life and change it for the better. I owe them everything, they're a 100% donation charity and 2022 is my time to give back.
I will be setting off from Wythenshawe and finishing at Blackpool Central pier, a whopping 51 miles on foot in 1 day.
Phoenix Heroes don't just help veterans of the military but also police, ambulance and fire service. They're all about family and so they provide help for our families too! Please give generously to this honourable cause which I hold close to my heart.
If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
I've had to postpone due to injury, I've had xrays on my hip and hopefully I'll be right for the new date.
If not 100% I'll max out the painkillers and do it anyway.

Best of luck. Just a suggestion if I may. From personal experience in walking such distances for charity, you might wish to consider hiring a pair of adjustable crutches to go with you and for about a week after. It's going to hurt the next day. 😊👍
