Lets give them a chance....

My coach has decided to do a 24 hours swim in Hampton Pool and have invited all of us to create a challenge for ourselves. I have chosen to do the 10.8 K swim in the outdoor Hampton Pool, starting at 3am on 23rd Dec 2013. (I have never swam beyond 5K!)

As I am taking this challenge, I thought I would also raise some funds for a local charity called "Off the Record (Twickenham)". THANK YOU to everyone of you who have supported me in this challenge. I can report back to confirm that I have accomplished it - 4 hrs 26 mins. The last 90 lengths was hard as I just could not get warm, however hard I try to swim. Sue and myself kept each other going. There were over 14 Masters talking the challenge of 10.8 K and not to mention our Coach who did the 24 hours swim and completed 1900 L (over 68Km) and the children as young as 8 swimming the 24 hours relay.
