My story

As many of you know from time to time I embark on what some call mad challenges! A couple of weeks of discomfort for me is quite insignificant when you see what some others suffer through on a daily basis.

This time I am walking the West Highland Way which is 96miles from Milngavie to Fort William over 5 days with a spot of wild camping until Fort William.

I then plan to have a little walk up to the summit of Ben Nevis. This will then be followed by a 100km kayak trip from Fort William up to Inverness via Loch Lochy & Loch Ness.

So subject to no navigation errors I will cover 96 miles walking with wild camping en route, do 100km of kayaking again wild camping with a jaunt up Ben Nevis.

Why many ask?

Having been to Malawi a couple of times to support the Joshua Charity, I have witnessed the poverty & lack of basic living & education facilities the children face.

Our trip out there in 2020 was cancelled due to Covid 19 & it is not expected we will be able to return until maybe 2024, yet the requirements to aid improvement in the small villages doesn't stop.

So after my last trek in 2020 i have decided its time for some physical exertion (probably pain & blisters) to help support the Joshua Charity in their support of the orphans & communities in Malawi.

Any support however small will be of great benefit to the Charity & I know from my own experience will not be wasted.
