Mark Storey is raising money for Sheffield Churches' Council For Community Care
My story
Not being particularly fit I've decided to do something about it and raise vital funds at the same time.
I'm taking part in a Cycle to the Moon Challenge and am contributing to cycling 238,000 miles to the moon.
My contribution to the total is 500 miles which I will do before 6th February. This works out at around 18 miles per day. As anybody who knows me can testify this is a massive task for me.
I aim to do this by cycling on the road, on a turbo trainer and on an exercise bike at work that has been set up for the purpose.
I'm raising funds to support S&4C's who provide a helping hand to older people when they need it most.
S&4C's work with people in Sheffield and help them before, during and after hospital stays. They also work to prevent loneliness and isolation amongst older people.
