14.5 miles within a week. What was I thinking?!

1 week away from the Birmingham 10k and 2 weeks away from the Great Midlands Fun Run in Sutton (Some relaxing half term that will be).

I have decided this year to use this challenge to raise money for two amazing charities.

The first is Leicestershire Search & Rescue. They are a non-profit organisation, made up entirely of volunteers, providing assistance in the search and rescue of vulnerable and missing people in Leicestershire and surrounding areas. I have seen first hand what fantastic work they do. Using their incredible expertise and giving up their free time to help in some desperate and saddening circumstances. Any donation will aide them in helping in more of these situations in the future.

The second charity I have chosen is Alzheimer?s Society. A cause close to my heart after seeing my Grandad live with Dementia. Such a terrible disease that affects so many people. My Grandad was one of my main role models and seeing what he went through was nothing short of heartbreaking. Any contribution will hopefully result in one day eradicating such a terrible illness.

I know times are hard but any donation that could be made will make a difference. I have been overwhelmed by the support given over the years in previous charity events and your generosity is always very much appreciated.
