Mighty Stride for Feel Good Friday

Zoe Storrie is raising money for Glasgow Council on Alcohol

My story

On Sunday 30th April, I will be taking part in the Mighty Stride leg of the Kiltwalk. This is just short of 23 miles, from Glasgow Green to Balloch.

I’m doing this with my colleagues from Glasgow Council on Alcohol. The money raised will go to our Feel Good Friday group. This is a group that I co-facilitate, and I’m delighted that the participants of the group will get to benefit from the donations.

Our group is part of the Well-being services offered at GCA. It is a drop-in space for anyone in recovery, from 10AM - 2PM every Friday. We offer hot drinks, peer support, a home cooked meal, yoga, reiki and various other activities. This money will enable us to purchase materials for the group for upcoming well-being activities and may contribute towards the development of workshops, skills and days out.

Thank you for reading and thank you for supporting our lovely Feel Good Friday group!

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Glasgow Council on Alcohol.
