My story
Hi, My Name is Trish or Trisha from the CWNN Liverpool, There are lots of reasons why I've chosen Dementia UK along with The CWNN Liverpool Firstly was the connection with Music, and singing together and the magical moments of making memories.
My heart was first touched by the story of my very dear and close friend John Spinks and the memories of sharing love on his journey when his mum was diagnosed with Dementia. The heart felt story of describing the moment when Mrs Spinks stood up and started singing Danny Boy, when listening to the golden oldies, "I didn't know my mum knew the song" replied John, What a beautiful memory to behold. Singing once more with your parents after so may years apart.
The choir with no name Liverpool 💛
We have a great team here, Wednesday night is a joy to meet up with friends and loved ones. There is a real atmosphere of a loving family and a connection of love through song, when were all singing together through the direction of Our Very own Mersey Wylie and of course the one and only Mr Lush himself Johnathan. The team of volunteer are second to none and the level of support is paramount under the guidance and the guided light of our Manager Emma Quinn.
Life is real for us at the choir and watching life grow is tremendous, we have had our fare share of sadness over the years, but a true sense of hope is what keeps us connected along with lots of rainbows to remind us that "rain (tears) is just one half of a rainbow" and the warmth of the sun still casts a golden light to remind us that we are still here to live and love, the sun still shines on muddled minds and with the power of love, Music is one of the greatest of them all.
A big shout to my GP and medical team
The life rooms for putting up with me lol
The love and support of my Family 💞
And those who actually like me.
And Jill one of our Volunteers who sadly lost her lovely Dad to
Dementia last year 💙
and of course a massive "Thank you" for the love and support of my fellow choir members, forever and
together in song 💛💛💛
