My story

As a client of Reclaim Life, it was suggested that I set myself some combined physical/mental challenges as therapy to help me (Not for everyone, though I hasten to add!!).

I decided that my first challenge would be to walk Hadrian’s Wall, having thought about doing it for about 5 years.  Most recommend that this is done in about 6 days.  I am going to attempt to walk the c87 miles (c140 km) over a single 4 day period – or nearly a marathon every day.  I will be self-reliant staying at campsites, carrying nearly all that I need (including a 1-man bivvi-tent, sleeping bag, clothes, camping stove and most of the food).  I am starting out at the western end of the Hadrian’s Wall Path on the afternoon of Saturday 21st September – Yup, this weekend.

I am doing this for MY own mental health, but I am hoping that YOU will be able to help others with their mental health by giving generously to this great organisation that has helped me .

Reclaim Life is a local charity in Bedfordshire offering coaching to promote Emotional Wellbeing, helping clients with any one of a range of issues including: Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, PTS, Addiction, Anger Management and Self Harm.  They can offer a number of free sessions helping those most in need and least able to afford it, including teens and young adults.
