Dear friends and supporters,
An update following the London Landmarks Half Marathon yesterday, I did it!
It was an incredible day, and despite two months without proper training due to holiday and injury, I’m beyond delighted with my time. I ran much further, and stronger, than I ever thought possible. Around miles 10 and 11, it became a real mental challenge, and I found myself pushing on with the thought of not letting any of you down. You may not have been there in person, but your support and encouragement carried me every step of the way.
Today, I feel far better than expected, no pains, and still very much riding the high.
For anyone who was waiting until after the run to donate, there’s still time to support the cause. Your contributions are hugely appreciated.
From me, and from the donkeys, mules, and horses who will benefit from your generosity, along with The Worshipful Company of Farriers charity, thank you all so much. Your support truly makes a difference.
The photo below is of me, still smiling, alongside my son Benjamin, who also ran in support of Brooke and The Worshipful Company of Farriers charity.
With heartfelt thanks,
