National Five Peaks Challenge

Event date: 20th June 2014

lorhen85 is raising money for Galloway Mountain Rescue Team

My story

This year I will be facing my toughest walking challenge to date.
As part of a group, climbing for there own individual charities, I will be attempting to ascend & descend the highest peaks in each of Scotland (Ben Nevis - 4406ft), Northern Ireland (Slieve Donard - 2786ft), Republic Of Ireland (Carrauntoohil - 3406ft), Wales (Snowdon - 3560ft) & England (Scafell Pike - 3209ft), within 48hrs, including all travel.

The Galloway MRT consists entirely of unpaid volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide search & rescue assistance to the public. Please help them continue to carry out such great work by making a donation. Any support is very much appreciated.

As well as a personal achievement, I will be doing this in memory of my brother Paul Henry who sadly passed away in 2012 during his descent of Goat's Fell on the beautiful Isle Of Arran. We conquered many summit's and munro's together & to be able to achieve this and raise money in his memory will be extremely rewarding to all involved.

Thank You !
