Danny and Amber, I am incredibly proud of both of you! You’ve battled through some truly tough conditions and are on track to finishing this challenge in an unbelievable time. I’ve loved following Danny’s regular video updates – they’ve had me laughing out loud more than once! You are both such an inspiration to all of us. Keep pedaling – you’re almost there! X

Amber Snooks is raising money for Havens Hospices
So….As most of you know, Nels was diagnosed terminally ill with bowel cancer a year ago. Our little world crashed….but in true Nutty Nelson style, his attitude was, let’s make the best of it. So we are! Lots of fun family time, events, holidays, and laughter.
One of the things he wanted to do was another support crew event with the family. I would do something mad like an Ironman somewhere and they would have to follow all day making sure I was fed, feeling well and generally keeping me going. So once more, we came up with Lands End to John o Groats. One end of the country to the very other by bike. Most people will take around ten days. But I will try to do it in five, My brother Danny, will also support on the bike. So roughly 200 miles a day, cycling from 5 am to around 10pm. Nels and the family will follow supporting in a motorhome. I’m sure it will be chaos! Lots of stories and madness as usual! But another memory banked. We lost my lovely dad, Nelson’s hero, last year too and I know he would be so proud of us.
I wasn’t going to put a charity page out as there’s so many out already, but have been asked by quite a few people to do so, so they can donate.
We have decided on two charities. Little Havens Hospice, after meeting someone in the pool and hearing his story of his young daughter and how they cared for her, and how brave she was, really touched us.
LifeCentre, a charity that helps abused children by helping them cope and move forward with their lives. I looked after some children like this once and it was, to say the least, heartbreaking.
Nels, and our whole family are deeply grateful for any donations, and as most of you know, Nels, his attitude to life, well, make the most of it!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Havens Hospices.
