Russell and Gill Ashley-Smith are raising money for Operation Agri
To mark our Golden Wedding we invite relatives and friends to help fund an Operation Agri water project similar to one we saw when we visited Nepal several years ago. Over 500 people in a remote Nepali village will be able to have a safe drinking water supply. Mountain spring water feeds a storage tank with buried pipes leading down to village tap-stands. Our grant goes towards supplying equipment and skilled tradespeople while the villagers contribute local materials and their labour. What a life-line – clean, cool water on tap!
Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Operation Agri.

We're overwhelmed and humbled by the generosity of family and friends! Gobsmacked! Thank you so much. The revised target of £1500 has now been exceeded and we've increased it again - to £2000. If more is raised than is needed for the water project, the extra will be used to fund the training of local farmers in various aspects of small-scale vegetable and livestock farming.

A big thank you to everyone who has so generously contributed to our appeal. As the total cost of this water project is greater than our original target of £1000 we are therefore upping the target to £1500!
