Noonkodin School Tanzania - Investing in Excellence

Noonkodin School is a co-educational secondary school in a remote mountain village in northern Tanzania. It serves over 200 young people between the ages of 14 and 21, over half of them from low-income Maasai pastoralist families.

Recruiting, training and retaining quality teachers in rural areas is always a challenge. We're aiming to raise £3,500 to set up a Professional Development Centre that would serve not only Noonkodin teachers, but also other teachers from the surrounding area - enabling them to access the Internet, share experiences, upgrade their skills and study towards Open University degrees.
