Orlando runs the Grunty Fen Half Marathon!

Event date: 14th September 2014

Orlando Gibbons is raising money for Diapalante

My story

I'll be running the Grunty Fen half marathon just outside Ely on Sunday 14th September to raise money for the fantastic charity Diapalante. I have never run more than 10k in my life, so I don't know how it's going to go, but it'll definitely be worth it!

Diapalante runs a Community Education Centre in Kaolack, Senegal, where I volunteered during my Gap Year, to teach people of all ages and abilities English, IT and French, and provides medical aid and mosquito nets to kids forced to beg for food and money in Mauritania.

For more information about what Diapalante does, visit

diapalante.org or
facebook.com/DiapalanteUK

Please dig deep and support our efforts as we face the desolate Fens and try to run the full 13 miles without falling over or sneaking off to the pub...

All money raised will go to Diapalante's projects in Mauritania and Senegal.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Diapalante.
