Parish of St John Bosco Lenten Alms

This year, as part of our Lenten Alms, our parish is supporting the fantastic work of local charity The Cowshed.
Since launching in 2019 they have provided support to over 4,000 individuals across Berkshire with clothing, bedding, toiletries, Christmas presents and craft packs. They now work with more than 180 different organisations including all 6 unitary authorities who refer people in need to the service.
Their talented craft team make new items from old to support the main charity which provides support to people of all backgrounds in a time of personal crisis, supplying them with good quality cleaned and ironed clothes and other essentials.
The Cowshed has a three-way impact: helping those most in need in our communities, recycling used clothing and creating community groups. To find out more, please visit: thecowshed.org/
