My story
Over the next year, ending August 2026, I will be celebrating my 70 years on this planet by raising as much money as I can for 2 charities: Greenpeace and Circus Eruption. In exchange for your sponsorship, I will be swimming 70 km (at least) in the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds and pools – as much as possible wild, fresh (ish) or salty water, possibly chlorinated or sewered. I will be swimming, where possible, with old and new friends, probably towing a rubber duck. There will be no hand puppets involved.

Also on 2nd August 2025 I will be gathering friends together in Swansea celebrating on a beach and having a mass swim/paddle as part of the day – more details on that later but please save the date if you’d like to join me.

My updates
Today I swam pier to pier (ish!) in Bournemouth with my friend Scott. Nice and choppy 1.5km so lots of sea water consumed.
On 28th April I swam my first kilometre at Langland Bay and then 2 more on 20th May - 3 down, 67 to go!
