We did it. We reached the end of the challenge :-)
Around 12,000 press ups in class and many more at home.
I'm not sure we learnt to love them by the end but we did get a little bit better at them. AND we discovered that the Pilates ring is the perfect prop for a press up so we'll be trying that again.
For now I have promised no press ups for March.

My story
This February, Pilates Fit Portishead class members are taking part in a team press up challenge and we have selected Hours for Human Happiness as one of the charities we are raising money for.
Here is some information from the charity about their latest appeal:
Appeal for shoes
3h is looking to raise money to buy shoes for the children in Kyemula, a remote village in Uganda. Children need shoes in Kyemula as the chigoe flea bores into the soft children’s feet and lays eggs. The fleas then bore out leaving holes in the children’s feet that remain for the rest of the children’s lives and make walking difficult or impossible. This is very tough in a society which exists on subsistence farming.

Press Up Challenge Week 2 Update
We did another 3,600 press ups in class this week 😍🎉
So over 7,000 in class so far.
All of my lovely clients are getting involved, whether they are doing wall press ups in the Seated & Supported class or doing their 3/4 press ups in the Intermediate class.
There are more press ups taking place at home as well.
