Catriona Young is raising money for Rwandan School Village Project
My story
The purpose of Rwandan School Village Project is to relieve poverty and advance education and health. Since I visited Bugarama in 2013 with Harlaw Academy, I have set my sights on the day I can go back and make a real contribution.
This summer I have achieved my TEFL qualification and I am heading for Bugarama to support English teaching. Quite a challenge for me!
My part-time job and babysitting have funded all my own expenses but if you want to support my trip, here is a new idea.
Did you love playtime when you were at school? Of course. Although the pupils in Bugarama have a long school day and are achieving great results, they have no community playground. I would love to see one. If you think play is an important part of school life, please help me to raise funds for this new project.
