PLPs Fundraiser: Three Charities, One Mission!

Join us in making a difference! The PLP Fire team is committed to supporting One Big Family, ellenor, and North Kent Mind through a series of fundraisers this year. Your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Let’s come together and make a lasting impact!

North Kent Mind "is a local mental health charity to support the communities of Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, and Medway. We might be part of the Mind federation, but we’re an independent charity, which means we raise our own funds to keep providing vital services. From affordable counselling and wellbeing sessions to supporting children and young people, we’re here to help anyone struggling with their mental health."

"ellenor provides vital hospice care to patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses across North Kent and Bexley. We are dedicated to enriching people's lives, offering support from the moment of diagnosis, onwards and beyond."

"One Big Family was founded in 2015 by husband and wife team, Darren and Liz Shaw as a direct response to the increase in rough sleeping they were seeing in Medway. The charity aims to support those who are rough sleeping or in financial crisis." “We have run a supported accommodation project since July 2020, initially on behalf of Medway Council, but in December 2024 we secured our own lease on an 18-bed accommodation in Chatham, where we provide person-centred, trauma informed holistic support to rough sleepers who have multiple and complex needs."
