Pringles V Kilimanjaro

Hi.
I'm Steve and my plan is to trek up Mt Kilimanjaro in Sept 2011 leaving the UK on the 22nd. This is a self funded trip for personal reasons but most people I talk to assume that it's being done as a charity challenge type event. Well spotting an opportunity to raise some funds for the 3rd Ringwood Scout Group I have created this every click page.
My wife is a leader at the group and my daughter is a scout and son is a cub. I am the quartermaster and help out when needed, especially at camps. At present the group is healthy with waiting lists for beavers, cubs and scouts so they easily cover their running costs. The primary concern is the age of the current hall that meetings are held in. It is a pre fabricated concrete structure with a corrugated roof that is probably 20 years past its best. There are plans to build a new hall on the existing site but the figures being quoted are horrendous.
If I can raise a few quid towards this project then I will be very happy and have only set a modest target of £500.
To make things a little more interesting I am taking a couple of small cans of Pringles crisps with me to see if they pop before I reach the summit at 19,341 ft (5895m). Any of you that have witnessed how much the seals on a can of Pringles bulge when on an aeroplane will probably of thought to your self 'I wonder what altitude these will pop at' Most aeroplanes are pressurised to 8,000ft so my planned trip far exceeds this.
